I want to replace the front glass digitizer because it has gotten really scratched up and its annoying. Will I have to completly disassemble the phone as described in the link? or is there another way i can replace it?

Im afraid not. The phone has to be dissasembled. The process is not hard, just perhaps a bit nerve racking to those who have never done it.
Follow the link that is two posts up dated June 10. It is a link to buy all that parts you will need. The screen and digiitizer can be bought for cheap. Perhaps $25 to $30.
Good Luck!
